Part I. From knowledge to action

This part will explore different creative initiatives and innovative solutions that have inspired action for improved water governance.

Part II. Communities of Practice

This part will focus on Communities of Practice (CoP) as a vehicle for knowledge gathering and sharing.

Part III. Launch of the MINIMAX Competition: Solutions for Managing Climate Extremes

The last part of the session will be the launch of the MNIMAX competition and will feature some co-creation activities with the participants.

Objectives:

The overall goal of the session is to demonstrate innovative approaches that inspire action for better water governance with an emphasis on knowledge and knowledge sharing.

Matthias Berninger

Matthias Berninger (born 1971) is a former German politician and member of The Greens from 1993 until 2007.
From 2001 to 2005, Berninger served as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection under minister Renate Künast in the second cabinet of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. After leaving the government, he was his parliamentary group’s spokesperson on economic policy from 2005 until 2007.
Since 2019, Berninger has been serving as head of public and government affairs at Bayer.
