Introduction

The 16th United Nations Climate Change Conference of Youth, also known as COY16, serves as space for capacity building and policy training to prepare young people for their participation at COP. One of its major outputs is the policy document representing the youth sector during the UN Climate negotiations.

In the past, COY was graced by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the UNFCCC Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa Cantellano. This event is under the banner of YOUNGO – the official youth constituency of the UNFCCC. Over the years, it has gathered thousands of youth from more than 120 countries.

Biography

We need to get water and environmental management right to provide sustainable futures for people and planet. We need to transform from extractive, growth oriented business paradigms to a culture of circular economy. We need to provide offers for inclusive cooperation across borders on maps, between sectors and in the minds of people. We need to work together for social, societal and intergenerational fairness. I am working for the water and climate coalition because we have the chance to change things. We can offer alternative ways to business as usual. Please join us!
