Overview

Activity Outcomes

The basins and countries will receive knowledge and will share experience in transboundary climate change adaptation. The activities will include capacity building events and development of the on-line compendium of good practices and lessons learnt in transboundary climate change adaptation. In addition, the following actions can contribute to making basins and countries more resilient to climate change: assisting them in developing transboundary vulnerability and water-food-energy-ecosystem nexus assessments, adaptation and disaster risk reduction strategies and plans and their implementation, preparing bankable projects proposals for climate change adaptation and integrating climate change adaptation into river basin management planning; supporting resilience to climate change in water supply and sanitation by supporting setting of specific climate targets under the Protocol on Water and Health in the countries of the pan-European region.
